Before Sarah became a photographer she was a photo tecnician. This is where she would edit photographs before they were published in newspapers. Editing could range from colour correction, cutting out objects (so they appeared to float on the page) to creating composites using several photographs.
It was during this stage of her career that she saw a market for photo restoration. Many people had old photographs that were faded, torn, needed enlarging or the owners wanted objects removing or adding to. There weren't many companies offering this service so it was through the Lincolnshire Echo that she started edting old photographs using specialist software.
During the pandemic in 2020 many people started discovering old photos that were also in need of repair and so Yellowbelly Photography added this to the services they provide.
